Tolaron was founded by Zdeněk Dolák, who spent the years before it building payment software. At GoPay he helped hundreds of Czech and Slovak partners integrate the payment gateway. At a UK payment institution he then led the merchant app for iOS and Android, from architecture to store release. More than three thousand merchants use it.

Tolaron brings the same way of working to companies directly: one senior person accountable from the first conversation to the release, a scope agreed in writing, and maintenance agreed for each project.

Tolaron is named after the tolar, the silver coin first struck in Jáchymov in the early sixteenth century. The mint fixed its weight and silver content, so a tolar could be taken at its stamped value without weighing it. The name travelled far: the tolar is where the word dollar comes from.

We hold our work to the same standard. What we agree in writing, the scope, the responsibilities and the budget cap, is what we work to, and any change is agreed before it happens. You do not have to weigh it.

Zdeněk leads your project and stays your contact throughout delivery. Other developers join as capacity is planned, but we deliver an agreed product scope, not developer capacity. We have access to experts in their fields; the specialist roles and their involvement are agreed for each project.

At the start we check that working together makes sense for both sides, and we show you, free of charge as an MVP, roughly what the app could look like. Before development, we agree the scope, responsibilities, acceptance criteria and budget limit in writing. We publish the app on the App Store and Google Play; fixes, security updates and monitoring after launch are agreed for your project.
