  1. 1

    Context

Torvii is a consumer app in Tolaron's portfolio, built for a global audience, where we learn how a product finds and keeps its readers, from the store listing to the daily habit, in a category with no sales cycle. The app speaks English and Czech.

  2. 2

    Problem

Most horoscope apps are generic text with a star sign on top. Torvii computes the actual sky first: a chart engine works from real ephemeris data, and the reading is generated from what the planets are doing that day.

  3. 3

    Constraints

Readings are generated by AI and the app says so, as the EU AI Act asks. The app makes no personalisation claim a generated reading cannot keep, and it never presents the paid tier as something to buy before it is on sale.

  4. 4

    Role

An owned product, designed and built by Tolaron.

  5. 5

    Solution

An Expo app with the chart engine shared with the marketing site: a daily reading, a journal, transits, a natal map and a two-chart comparison. Readings are prepared ahead of time on a shelf, so the app opens to today's text instead of a spinner. The marketing site's screenshots are captured from the real app by a script, never mocked.

  6. 6

    Outcome

In development. The free daily reading and the chart screens exist; the paid tier is in the app but not on sale. Store listings are written in both languages and held to the same rules as the app.

  7. 7

    Technology

Expo and React Native for the app, Next.js for the site, Supabase and Postgres, a shared TypeScript chart engine, and Bun scripts for content and store listings.
